Mission:
The Office of the University Council is responsible for organizing university council meetings according to procedures, processes, and relevant tasks, including:
- Managing and organizing meetings for the Monitoring, Auditing, and Evaluation Committee (following the procedures and tasks involved), and acting as the secretary for the committee.
- Preparing a meeting calendar.
- Issuing meeting invitations.
- Preparing meeting agendas and files.
- Organizing and coordinating various aspects of the meetings.
- Hosting the University Council President, council members, university executives, and attendees.
- Conducting meetings, summarizing outcomes, and distributing meeting resolutions.
- Preparing and circulating meeting minutes for review and approval by the council members.
- Monitoring and reporting the implementation of meeting resolutions to the University Council.
- Organizing university affairs committee meetings and acting as the secretary for the committee.
- Serving as secretary for other committees, subcommittees, and ad-hoc working groups established by the University Council.
- Facilitating the selection process for University Council members, the Monitoring, Auditing, and Evaluation Committee, and the University Affairs Promotion Committee, and preparing the terms of office and directories.
- Managing the selection of the University Council President, distinguished council members, and the university president.
- Appointing committees such as the Monitoring, Auditing, and Evaluation Committee, University Affairs Committee, Appeals and Grievances Committee, and others as needed.
- Presenting university regulations, rules, directives, and announcements to the University Council President for signature.
- Providing support and coordination for the University Council President, committee chairpersons, and other council officials.
- Maintaining the University Council’s website and managing general administrative tasks such as document handling, personnel matters, finances, supplies, planning, reporting, and quality assurance.
- Performing other tasks assigned by the University Council, Vice President for University Affairs, or University President.
Objectives:
The Office of the University Council is established to support the operations of the University Council, ensuring smooth management and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in administration.
